The future of the planet calls for action, and now is the time to be together with those who are shaping real solutions to the climate crisis.
The cities of Belém, Rio de Janeiro and New York will simultaneously host a prominent international event, promoted by FGV Direito Rio, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and the World Commission on Environment Law, from November 12 - 13. The event will feature global leaders, renowned jurists, leading scientists, representatives of indigenous peoples, young activists and public managers.
The congress "A Mandate for All: the Legal and Civic Imperative to Confront the Climate Emergency" will bring together experts from different fields to discuss the challenges and legal solutions to the climate crisis, strengthening global cooperation around the greatest urgency of our time: facing the climate emergency with courage, innovation and justice.
There will be two intense days of debates, panels and international connections, discussing everything from the challenges of accelerating the climate crisis to the role of cities, companies, courts and traditional communities in building a sustainable future.
Participating in this event is the opportunity to be at the forefront of climate and legal transformation, exchange experiences with international experts, connect to global impact networks, and bring new ideas and practices to strengthen your community, institution, or organization.
